Date Night

When you’ve found the one that makes your heart go pitter-patter, the last thing you want to do is get caught flat-footed.  As they say, you only get one time (for the most part) to make a first impression. So, don’t screw it up!

Ensure date #1 leads to date #2 by having your go-to red, white and rose wine list in your back pocket…or your purse.

Go to red: Malbec – it's on the menu 9 times out of 10 and a grape that tends to be pretty tasty regardless of where it happens to be made. What’s better…because it's not crazy big and relatively fruit forward, it's more than likely to both please and go with whatever you happen to be eating.

Go to white: Sauvignon Blanc (preferably from France or New Zealand) its lemony, floral undertones make it pleasing to drink pre, during and post-dinner and it stands up to fish or seafood equally.

Go to rosé: Provence. Okay, you got me. This is technically a region not a grape, but there’s really only one go to region of rosé worth risking your night over. Just a hint of blush and strawberry to wet the appetite.
